Culturon® PAC cell culture plates provide a stable and versatile platform for
presenting immobilised biomolecules directly on cell culture substrates. The plasma-
activated coating enables direct covalent attachment of extracellular matrix proteins,
growth factors and other biomolecules to standard polystyrene plates without the need
for chemical cross-linkers or surface activation reagents. This allows researchers to
generate well-defined and reproducible bio-instructive surfaces for studying cell
behaviour.
The ultrathin PAC layer preserves the optical clarity and geometry of standard cell
culture plates while introducing reactive surface radicals capable of forming covalent
bonds with a wide range of biomolecules. As a result, PAC plates enable robust cell
adhesion and controlled presentation of signalling molecules at the cell–surface
interface. These properties support reproducible cell culture experiments and
advanced investigations of cell–surface interactions.
