Founder & CEO
Dr. Stuart Fraser BSc (Honours) PhD
Stuart Fraser, founder of Culturon in 2022, brings over 30 years of expertise in cell culture, stem cell biology, immunology, and materials science. He holds a BSc in Immunology from Monash University and a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Hong Kong. Stuart has held prestigious posts, including a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship at Kyoto University, a senior research fellowship in Germany, and roles at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the University of Sydney, where he led his research group until 2021.

Bayley Logan BSc M.BioTech
Bayley Logan combines a strong academic background with extensive experience in science commercialisation and patent protection. He holds a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Master’s in Biotechnology from the University of Melbourne. Bayley has quickly built a notable career, demonstrating immense knowledge and expertise across all aspects of commercialising scientific innovations. His work has contributed significantly to advancing previous science commercialisation projects, showcasing his capability to bridge the gap between research and market success.

Dr. Oliver Lotz BSc PhD
Dr Oliver Lotz is Culturon’s Chief Operating Officer, leading the scale-up of manufacturing and the transition of plasma technology from research to production. With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and industry experience expanding plasma-based manufacturing, he combines deep expertise in surface engineering and biomolecule immobilisation with a strong track record in commercialisation.

Brian Walker-Catchpole
Brian Walker-Catchpole brings over 20 years of experience in brand strategy, cultural insights, and market research, with senior leadership roles at Kantar spanning brand strategy, qualitative innovation, and consultancy across major global and Australian organisations. His work specialises in uncovering the underlying cultural, motivational, and psychological drivers that shape how people and organisations engage with brands, translating complex insights into clear strategic direction. As Chief Brand Officer at Culturon, Brian applies this deep expertise to shape and articulate Culturon’s brand narrative, ensuring its plasma-activated surface technology is communicated with clarity, credibility, and impact across scientific, industry, and investor audiences.

Kuan Un Wong (Johnny), BSc MSc PhD
Johnny brings over a decade of expertise in stem cell and cancer biology, plasma
technology, biomaterials, and 3D printing to Culturon. He has a strong track record in
scaling plasma-treated surfaces and advancing stem cell expansion systems through plasma surface modification in conjunction with 3D printing technologies. His work has contributed to innovative research with clear translational impact, particularly in stem cell expansion platforms and diagnostic applications.
